Astracast International

Astracast is a UK based company specialising in the design and manufacturing of a full range of kitchen sinks. Astracast relocated the composite manufacturing plant to Malta.

FMcore were responsible for the full works on an EPCM contract basis. All the works were carried in house and included the full design comprising process, architectural, structural and MEPF. An ATEX survey was also commissioned to identify risks associated with the handling of the raw material and the hardener. Hfl consulting were appointed to draw up a report identifying what measures should be taken during the design process in order to minimise risks during operation.
